History Tender Management Consultancy

Tender Management Consultancy had been founed in 2010 by Bouwe van der Meer.

Before that, he worked in international forwarding companies where he learned how to deal with tenders. He saw that a lot of big companies had difficulties managing the great amout of date (transport lanes). On the other hand he also noticed the difference between the quality quoted and eventually delivered by forwarding companies.

He decided to set up this Tender management consultancy where the solved 2 major problems in the field:
- developping a database in order to streamline the data
- developped a audit programma

Bouwe van der Meer, historie

Bouwe van der Meer (born 1970) grew up in the 80/90 years in a family business. At a young age he was infected with the "truck virus". He finished different schools: MAVO / HAVO / MEAO and later VERVOERSACADEMIE Venlo. Reason for this long road was that he spent every free hour in the family business.

He taught at a young age truck driving, welding and grinding, truck maintenance but mostly: working and and hands on mentality.
In de evenings he often came home to work: writing bills, typing letters and helping customers. His learning school was: simply watching others and tried to do it better.Over and over he tried different things until he could it better. He read many books on various topics including programming in SQL MSACCES.

Later a theacher discovered something special about him: he turns out to be autodidact: a person can learn through self-study regardless of any guidance by an educational organization.

After graduating, at the age of 26, he was employed by Xerox / Tekronix in Heerenveen. A wonderful international logistics job within a great company. And of course in the evening he often came home to to make invoices, etc. for family business. At Xerox, he often travelled abroad and learned how to work in an international world. Later, working in the family business gradually shifting to the background.

After five years, Xerox eventually moved from Heerenveen to Venray. After he had worked here six months as a project manager he decides not to move to Venray: he starts as a general manager at van der Werff Logistics in Heerenveen. Together with the owner and collegues, they doubled the company in five years. After almost 6 years, he founded his own company in 2005.
